What is PRP Hair Loss Therapy?
Individual results may vary
PRP is blood plasma containing concentrated growth factors and other bioactive proteins that stimulate growth in hair follicles. The growth factors found in PRP serve as a safe, natural and effective option for hair restoration in both men and women.* PRP harnesses your body’s natural healing and growth promoting abilities to encourage hair growth.
PRP Therapy Process
PRP therapy is a three-step process. Maintenance treatments are required every 4–6 months.
Your blood is drawn — typically from your arm — and put into a centrifuge (a machine that spins rapidly to separate fluids of different densities).
After about 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have separated into in three layers:
red blood cells
The platelet-rich plasma is drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.
Aftercare instructions will be provided to you but you can go about your day as you normally would. No one will know you just had PRP! You can generally wash and style your hair within 24-hours of treatment, but you should follow the specific aftercare instructions that will be given to you by your provider.
